ICW-NA is a regional network by and for women living with HIV. We envision a world where all women living with HIV live free of gender oppression, realizing and claiming our full rights inclusive of sexual, reproductive, legal, social, economic and health right.
ICW North America is recruiting Board Members to fill four (4) vacant positions; two from Canada and two from the USA.
Interested candidates should have Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in at least two of the following:
Please note that during this summer, ICW-NA is scheduled to have a Governance & Fiscal Oversight Training through which we will also update or Governance Policy & Procedure for the Board of Directors so this would be a great time to join!
Who Should Apply?
Women living with HIV, in all our diversities* located in Canada or the United States of America are strongly encouraged to apply. Our ideal candidate will be living openly with HIV.
*When we refer to women living with HIV in all our diversity we acknowledge that we include: women who are heterosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender; women who use drugs; sex workers; adolescent girls and young women; women who were previously incarcerated, detained or homeless; women who are economic or political migrants; women who are indigenous; and women living with disabilities.
Term of office
The term of office is 3 years, renewable once.
The position of a board member is voluntary. However, members need to be committed to representing our community, participating in board meetings and whenever they are called upon to represent ICW-North America. No ‘RHINOs’ (Really Here In Name Only)!
